Here’s a simple and delicious way to enjoy Sweet Corn 🌽✨


Sweet Corn (Boiled or Steamed)

Ingredients

  • 4 ears of fresh corn, husked
  • Water for boiling or steaming
  • 2–3 tbsp butter (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: sugar, herbs (parsley, cilantro), or chili powder

Instructions

Boiling Method:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Add corn and cook 5–7 minutes until tender.
  3. Remove, pat dry, and spread with butter. Season with salt, pepper, and optional toppings.

Steaming Method:

  1. Place corn in a steamer basket over boiling water.
  2. Cover and steam 6–10 minutes until tender.
  3. Serve with butter and seasonings.

Roasted or Grilled Variation

  • Brush corn with butter or olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Grill over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until charred in spots.
  • Optional: top with lime juice, chili powder, or grated Parmesan.

Tips & Variations

  • Mexican street corn (Elote): top with mayo, cotija cheese, chili powder, and lime.
  • Corn off the cob: cut kernels off boiled/grilled corn for salads, soups, or sautéed sides.
  • Sweetened version: add 1 tsp sugar to boiling water for extra sweetness.
