Cajun Honey Butter Salmon

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1–1½ tsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon
    Pat salmon dry. Season lightly with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  2. Sear the salmon
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    Place salmon skin-side down and sear 3–4 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes. Remove salmon and set aside.
  3. Make the honey butter sauce
    Lower heat to medium. Add butter to the same pan.
    Once melted, stir in garlic and cook ~30 seconds until fragrant.
    Add honey and lemon juice, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened.
  4. Glaze the salmon
    Return salmon to the pan. Spoon sauce over the fillets and simmer 1–2 minutes until glossy and cooked through.
  5. Serve
    Garnish with parsley or green onions. Spoon extra sauce on top.
