- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (½–1 inch thick)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- Optional: 1 tsp paprika or Italian seasoning
- Optional thickener: 1–2 tsp cornstarch
Instructions
1. Prep pork chops
- Season chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Optional: sear in a skillet 2 minutes per side for extra flavor (not required).
2. Assemble in slow cooker
- Place sliced onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add pork chops on top.
- Pour chicken broth around chops.
- Sprinkle optional paprika or herbs.
3. Cook
- Low: 6–7 hours
- High: 3–4 hours
- Pork should be tender but not falling apart.
4. Optional gravy
- Remove chops, keep warm.
- Mix 1–2 tsp cornstarch with cold water, stir into slow cooker juices.
- Cook on high 5–10 minutes until thickened.
- Pour over chops before serving.
