Here’s a simple, reliable go-to with options so it never gets boring.

Juicy Pan-Seared Chicken Breast

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika or garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Prep
    • Pat chicken dry.
    • If thick, slice horizontally or gently pound to even thickness.
    • Season both sides generously.
  2. Sear
    • Heat pan over medium-high heat.
    • Add oil, then chicken.
    • Cook 5–7 minutes without moving.
  3. Flip & finish
    • Flip, add butter.
    • Lower heat to medium.
    • Cook another 5–6 minutes, spooning butter over top.
  4. Rest
    • Remove and rest 5 minutes (keeps it juicy).

Safe temp: 165°F / 74°C


Oven-Baked Option (super easy)

  1. Heat oven to 200°C / 400°F.
  2. Season chicken, place in baking dish.
  3. Bake 18–22 minutes.
  4. Rest before slicing.

Flavor Boosters (pick your mood)

  • Lemon garlic: lemon juice + zest + garlic
  • Honey mustard: honey + Dijon
  • Herb butter: parsley + thyme + butter
  • Spicy: chili powder + smoked paprika
