Here are the best ways to cook it, depending on your mood and cleanup tolerance.

Crispy Skillet Bacon (classic)

  1. Lay bacon in a cold pan (no overlap).
  2. Turn heat to medium.
  3. Cook 8–12 min, flipping occasionally.
  4. Drain on paper towels.

Oven Bacon (hands-off & even)

  1. Heat oven to 200°C / 400°F.
  2. Line a tray with foil + rack if you have one.
  3. Bake 15–20 min until crispy.

Extra-Crispy Air Fryer

  • 190°C / 375°F, 7–10 min
    (check halfway—every air fryer’s a little chaotic)

Pro Tips

  • Cold pan = less splatter, better render
  • Save the bacon fat (golden liquid treasure)
  • Thicker cut = lower heat, more patience
