Broccoli and cream cheese in a slow cooker

Posted on January 1, 2026 by Admin

Got it! Here’s a simple way to make broccoli and cream cheese in a slow cooker 🥦🧀 — creamy, comforting, and super easy.

Ingredients (serves 3–4)

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets (or frozen)
  • 4 oz (½ block) cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • ½ cup milk or cream
  • 1 small onion, chopped (optional)
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: shredded cheese (cheddar works great) or a pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prep the slow cooker
    • Spray or lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker.
  2. Add ingredients
    • Place broccoli, onion (if using), and garlic in the slow cooker.
    • Dot with cream cheese cubes.
    • Pour milk over everything.
  3. Cook
    • Cover and cook on low for 2–3 hours or high for 1–1.5 hours, until broccoli is tender.
  4. Mix until creamy
    • Use a spoon or potato masher to gently mash and mix the cream cheese into the broccoli and milk, making it creamy.
    • Add salt, pepper, and any optional cheese or spices.
  5. Serve
    • Serve hot as a side dish, or mix into pasta, rice, or baked potatoes for extra comfort food vibes.

If you want, I can give a super cheesy “broccoli and cream cheese dip” version you can eat with crackers or bread, also made in the slow cooker.

Do you want me to do that?
