Posted on February 28, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple and delicious Crispy Pan-Fried Halloumi Bites recipe — golden, squeaky, and perfect for snacking or appetizers.

🧀 Crispy Pan-Fried Halloumi Bites

Ingredients

  • 8 oz halloumi cheese, cut into ½–1 inch cubes
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (or neutral oil)
  • Optional: smoked paprika, black pepper, or dried herbs for seasoning
  • Optional: lemon wedges and fresh herbs (mint, parsley) for serving

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the halloumi

  • Pat halloumi cubes dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps them crisp better.

2️⃣ Heat the pan

  • Heat a non-stick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add olive oil and allow it to warm.

3️⃣ Fry the halloumi

  • Add the halloumi cubes in a single layer.
  • Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan; fry in batches if needed.

4️⃣ Season and serve

  • Sprinkle with smoked paprika, black pepper, or dried herbs if desired.
  • Serve warm with lemon wedges and fresh herbs for a bright flavor.

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Serve with a drizzle of honey or balsamic glaze for a sweet-savory bite.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables, salad, or pita for a light meal.
  • For extra crunch, lightly coat halloumi cubes in flour before frying.
  • Can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes for a lower-fat version, turning halfway.

I can also give you:

  • Halloumi bites with spicy dipping sauce
  • Mediterranean halloumi skewers
  • Crispy air-fryer halloumi

Do you want the classic skillet version or a baked/air-fryer version?
