Bologna sandwich

Here’s a simple and classic Bologna Sandwich — quick, nostalgic, and customizable.


🥪 Bologna Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)
  • 2–3 slices of bologna
  • 1–2 tsp mayonnaise, mustard, or your preferred spread
  • Optional toppings:
    • Sliced cheese (American, cheddar, or Swiss)
    • Lettuce or spinach
    • Tomato slices
    • Pickles or banana peppers
    • Salt & pepper

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the bread

  • Spread mayonnaise, mustard, or both evenly on one or both slices of bread.

2️⃣ Add bologna and toppings

  • Layer bologna slices on one slice of bread.
  • Add cheese, lettuce, tomato, or other desired toppings.

3️⃣ Assemble and serve

  • Top with the second slice of bread.
  • Slice in half if desired and serve immediately.

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Grilled Bologna Sandwich: Butter the outside of the bread and grill in a skillet until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Fried Bologna: Fry bologna slices in a skillet for 2–3 minutes per side for extra flavor.
  • Southern Style: Serve with fried bologna and American cheese on white bread.
  • Add crunch: Include pickles, shredded lettuce, or coleslaw.
