Bologna sandwich

Here’s a classic, simple Bologna Sandwich recipe:


Ingredients (1 sandwich)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your choice)
  • 2–3 slices of bologna
  • 1–2 tsp mayonnaise or mustard (optional)
  • 1 slice of cheese (optional, American or cheddar works well)
  • Lettuce, tomato, or pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Optional frying:
    • You can serve bologna cold or fry it for extra flavor.
    • To fry: heat a small skillet over medium heat and cook bologna slices for 1–2 minutes per side until slightly browned.
  2. Assemble the sandwich:
    • Spread mayonnaise or mustard on one or both slices of bread.
    • Layer bologna on one slice.
    • Add cheese, lettuce, tomato, or pickles if desired.
    • Top with the second slice of bread.
  3. Serve:
    • Cut diagonally if you like, and enjoy with chips or a pickle on the side.
