Cinnamon Roll Bliss Bars

Ingredients

For the base:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the cinnamon swirl:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

For the glaze (optional):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tsp milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
    • 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the base:
    • In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla.
    • Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a dough. Press into prepared pan.
  3. Prepare the cinnamon swirl:
    • Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl.
    • Sprinkle evenly over the dough in the pan. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl into the dough.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake 25–30 minutes until lightly golden and set.
  5. Add glaze (optional):
    • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make a glaze.
    • Drizzle over warm or cooled bars.
  6. Serve:
    • Let bars cool for 10 minutes, then cut into squares.
    • Enjoy as a sweet breakfast treat or snack.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra gooeyness, add a handful of mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the swirl.
  • Swirl gently; overmixing can flatten the layers.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
