Two-Ingredient Reed Diffuser

Posted on March 18, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a super simple two-ingredient reed diffuser you can make at home—minimal ingredients, maximum fragrance:

🌿 Ingredients

  1. Carrier oil – such as almond oil, baby oil, or liquid coconut oil
  2. Essential oil – your favorite scent (lavender, lemon, eucalyptus, rose, etc.)

Optional: Reed sticks (or bamboo skewers) and a small bottle/jar

👨‍🍳 Method

  1. Pour ½ cup carrier oil into your bottle.
  2. Add 15–30 drops of essential oil (adjust for fragrance strength).
  3. Mix gently.
  4. Insert the reed sticks.
  5. Flip the sticks after a few hours to help diffuse the scent.

💡 Tips

  • Flip reeds every 2–3 days for stronger aroma.
  • Place in a small room for best fragrance spread.
  • Scent will be milder than commercial diffusers because it’s only 2 ingredients.

If you want, I can show a longer-lasting 3-ingredient version that smells stronger, similar to store-bought reed diffusers.
