🥬🧀 Spinach & Cheese Puff Pastry Squares (Crispy + Creamy)

These are flaky, golden bites filled with a creamy spinach-cheese mixture—perfect for snacks, tea-time, or parties.


🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought, thawed)
  • 1 cup spinach (chopped, fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or mix)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 tbsp oil or butter
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare filling

  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Sauté garlic for a few seconds
  • Add spinach → cook until wilted and water evaporates
  • Turn off heat and let cool
  • Mix in cheese, cream cheese, salt, pepper

👉 Keep filling thick (not watery)


2. Prepare pastry

  • Roll out puff pastry slightly
  • Cut into squares (about 3–4 inches)

3. Fill & seal

  • Place 1–2 tbsp filling in center
  • Fold or leave open as squares
  • Seal edges lightly with a fork (if folding)

4. Egg wash

  • Brush top with beaten egg (for golden color)

5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 200°C
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed
