Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Parmesan, or mozzarella work well)
  • Optional: 1 clove garlic, minced; lemon zest; breadcrumbs for extra crunch

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Asparagus:
    • Wash and trim tough ends.

  3. Roast:
    • Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
