🥞 American Pancakes (Fluffy & Easy)

Here’s a simple, classic recipe to make soft, thick American-style pancakes at home:


🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients
    In a bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
  2. Mix wet ingredients
    In another bowl: egg, milk, melted butter, vanilla.
  3. Combine
    Pour wet into dry and mix gently (don’t overmix—lumps are okay).
  4. Cook
    • Heat a non-stick pan on medium
    • Pour ¼ cup batter
    • Cook until bubbles form (about 2 minutes)
    • Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes
