Here’s a hearty, comforting Amish Farmhouse Feast—simple ingredients, from-scratch flavors, and big family-style portions 🌾🍗🥔

  • Salt & pepper

Method

  1. Boil potatoes until tender; drain.
  2. Make a roux with butter and flour.
  3. Whisk in milk; cook until thick.
  4. Fold potatoes into sauce and season.

🌽 Side Dish: Buttered Corn

Ingredients

  • 4 cups corn (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt & sugar pinch

Method

  • Simmer corn with butter, salt, and a pinch of sugar for 10 minutes.

🥬 Side Dish: Amish Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans
  • 3 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion
  • Salt & pepper

Method

  1. Cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Add onion; sauté.
  3. Add beans and a little water.
  4. Simmer 45–60 minutes until tender.
