  3. Heat oil: Use a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 175°C (350°F).
  4. Fry fritters: Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, fry until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
  5. Glaze (optional): Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm fritters.
