Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 2 pounds (≈900 g) chicken wings, split into drumettes and flats
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper for heat
  • Optional sauce for tossing: buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, or honey garlic

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    • 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top (for crispier wings).
  2. Prepare the wings
    • Pat wings dry with paper towels.
    • Toss with oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and optional cayenne.
  3. Arrange for baking
    • Place wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  4. Bake
    • Bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until skin is golden brown and crispy.
