Here’s a classic, fall-off-the-bone BBQ Ribs recipe that’s easy and super flavorful 🍖🔥

Oven-Baked BBQ Ribs (Tender & Juicy)

Ingredients (serves 3–4)

  • 2 racks pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp chili powder or smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1–1½ cups BBQ sauce (your favorite)
  • Optional: 1–2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Prep ribs: Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs (helps tenderness).
  3. Season: Mix salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, and chili powder. Rub all over the ribs.
  4. Wrap & bake: Place ribs on foil, meat-side up. Wrap tightly and place on a baking tray.
    • Bake for 2½–3 hours until very tender.
  5. Sauce: Unwrap ribs carefully. Brush generously with BBQ sauce (mix in honey or vinegar if you like).
  6. Caramelize:
    • Oven: Increase heat to 425°F (220°C) and bake uncovered 10–15 minutes
    • OR broil 3–5 minutes, watching closely
  7. Rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Tips & Variations

  • For smoky flavor without a grill: add a drop of liquid smoke to the BBQ sauce
  • For sticky ribs: brush sauce twice during the final bake
  • Serve with coleslaw, baked beans, or corn on the cob
