Bologna sandwich

Here’s a classic, simple Bologna Sandwich — a nostalgic favorite that’s quick, easy, and customizable.


🥪 Bologna Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your favorite type)
  • 2–3 slices of bologna
  • 1–2 tsp mayonnaise, mustard, or your preferred spread
  • Optional toppings:
    • Sliced cheese (American, cheddar, or Swiss)
    • Lettuce or spinach
    • Tomato slices
    • Pickles or banana peppers
    • Salt & pepper

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the bread

  • Spread mayonnaise, mustard, or both evenly on one or both slices of bread.

2️⃣ Add bologna and toppings

  • Place bologna slices on one slice of bread.
  • Add cheese, lettuce, tomato, or any additional toppings you like.

3️⃣ Assemble and serve

  • Top with the second slice of bread.
  • Slice in half if desired and serve immediately.

🔥 Tips & Variations

  • Grilled Bologna Sandwich: Butter the outside of the bread and grill in a skillet until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Fried Bologna: Fry the bologna slices in a pan for 2–3 minutes per side before assembling for extra flavor.
  • Classic Southern Style: Serve on white bread with a fried slice of bologna and American cheese.
