Cajun Chicken Pasta,

🍝 Cajun Chicken Pasta (Creamy, Spicy & Restaurant-Style)

A rich, slightly spicy pasta loaded with juicy chicken and creamy sauce—super satisfying and easy to make at home.


🧾 Ingredients

For chicken:

  • 2 chicken breasts (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (see below)

For pasta:

  • 200–250g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3–4 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 1 small onion (optional)
  • 1 cup cream (or milk + a little flour)
  • ½ cup grated cheese (cheddar or parmesan)
  • 1 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

🌶️ Cajun seasoning (homemade)

Mix:

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook pasta
    Boil in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook chicken
    • Toss chicken with Cajun seasoning
    • Cook in hot pan with oil until golden and fully done
    • Remove and set aside
  3. Make sauce
    • In same pan, add butter
    • Sauté garlic (and onion if using)
    • Add bell peppers → cook 2–3 minutes
    • Pour in cream + broth
    • Add cheese, salt, pepper
  4. Combine
    • Add cooked pasta + chicken
    • Mix well and simmer 2–3 minutes

  • Add mushrooms or spinach
  • Squeeze lemon juice at the end
  • Sprinkle extra chili flakes for heat

💡 Tips

  • Don’t overcook pasta—it should be slightly firm
  • Adjust spice level to your taste
  • For lighter version: use milk instead of cream
