Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars
Ingredients
- 2 cups chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
- 1 cup caramel sauce or soft caramels
- 2 cups crispy cereal (rice cereal or cornflakes)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for smoother caramel)
Steps
- Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl (30-second bursts, stir each time).
- Warm caramel gently (microwave or stovetop). Stir in butter if using.
- Mix cereal into the melted chocolate until coated.
- Press half of the chocolate-cereal mix into a lined pan.
- Spread caramel evenly on top.
- Add remaining chocolate-cereal mix, pressing gently.
- Chill in the fridge for 30–45 minutes until firm.
- Cut into bars and enjoy!
