Here’s a rich and flavorful Creamy Shrimp recipe — tender shrimp in a garlicky, buttery cream sauce, perfect over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.


🍤 Creamy Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup chicken or vegetable broth (optional, for thinner sauce)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 tbsp chopped parsley or chives for garnish
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the shrimp

  • Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

2️⃣ Make the creamy sauce

  • In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in cream and broth (if using).
  • Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in Parmesan until melted and smooth.

3️⃣ Combine

  • Return shrimp to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  • Cook 1–2 minutes more to heat through.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Sprinkle with parsley or chives.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

  • Add lemon juice or zest for bright flavor.
  • For a spicy kick, stir in red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Swap Parmesan for Asiago or Pecorino for a slightly different flavor.
  • Make it low-carb by serving over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice.
