Dog Ice Cream

Posted on March 13, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a safe and simple recipe for Dog Ice Cream—a cool treat your dog can enjoy! It uses dog-friendly ingredients and avoids harmful foods like chocolate, xylitol, or artificial sweeteners.

Peanut Butter & Banana Dog Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened, no xylitol)
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter (unsalted, xylitol-free)

Optional mix-ins: small carrot pieces, blueberries, or apple chunks (no seeds)

Instructions

  1. Mash the banana:
    • In a bowl, mash the banana until smooth.
  2. Mix ingredients:
    • Stir in Greek yogurt and peanut butter until fully combined.
  3. Pour into molds:
    • Spoon the mixture into silicone molds, ice cube trays, or small paper cups.
  4. Freeze:
    • Freeze for 2–4 hours, or until solid.
  5. Serve:
    • Pop out the ice cream and serve as a treat. Only give small amounts at first to avoid tummy upset.

💡 Tips:

  • You can make smaller ice cubes for training treats or larger ones for hot days.
  • Always check your dog’s tolerance to ingredients—introduce new foods gradually.
  • Yogurt adds probiotics, and banana adds natural sweetness and potassium.

If you want, I can also give three other fun dog ice cream flavor combinations, like pumpkin or apple-cinnamon, that are safe and easy to make.
