If you want something useful right away, here’s a simple, beginner-friendly fried chicken recipe you can make at home (with adult supervision around hot oil).

Easy Fried Chicken (Pan or Deep Fry)

Ingredients

  • Chicken pieces (drumsticks or thighs work best)
  • Salt & pepper
  • Garlic powder or paprika (optional)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1–2 eggs
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Steps

  1. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and any spices you like.
  2. Set up coating:
    • Bowl 1: beaten eggs
    • Bowl 2: flour (add a pinch of salt)
  3. Coat the chicken: egg → flour → press gently so it sticks.
  4. Heat oil in a pan (medium heat). Oil should be hot but not smoking.
  5. Fry chicken 10–15 minutes total, turning so it cooks evenly, until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and let it rest a few minutes before eating.

Tips

  • Don’t crowd the pan—chicken gets soggy instead of crispy.
  • Thighs and drumsticks stay juicier than breast meat.
  • Always make sure the chicken is fully cooked inside (no pink).
