Glazed ham

Posted on February 6, 2026 by Admin

Ahhh yes. Glazed ham season 😌
Here’s a no-fail classic glazed ham that hits that sweet-savory sweet spot.

Classic Brown Sugar–Honey Glazed Ham

Works for spiral or whole ham

You’ll need

  • 1 fully cooked ham (bone-in if you can—more flavor)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or orange juice
  • 1 tsp ground cloves or cinnamon (optional but 🔥)

How to do it

  1. Heat oven to 325°F / 165°C.
Place ham cut-side down in a roasting pan. Cover loosely with foil.
  2. Warm the ham
Bake about 15 minutes per pound, until heated through.
  3. Make the glaze
Simmer everything in a small pan for 5–7 minutes until glossy and thick.
  4. Glaze time
Remove foil for the last 30 minutes.
Brush generously every 10 minutes, letting it caramelize.
  5. Rest + serve
Rest 10–15 minutes before slicing so it stays juicy.

Want to level it up?

  • Pineapple vibes: Add crushed pineapple or pineapple juice to the glaze
  • Spicy-sweet: Add a pinch of chili flakes or a spoon of hot honey
  • Orange-maple: Swap honey for maple syrup + orange zest
  • Old-school: Stud the ham with whole cloves before glazing

If you want, tell me:

  • spiral vs whole
  • oven, slow cooker, or air fryer
  • classic, fancy, or “people will fight over leftovers”

I got you 🍯🍖
