Here’s a simple, classic baked ham guide you can use for any occasion—from Sunday dinner to holidays 🍖


Baked Ham (Easy & Juicy)

Ingredients

  • 6–10 lb fully cooked ham (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 cup liquid for pan (water, apple juice, pineapple juice, or cola)

Optional Glaze

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup mustard
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare ham
    • Place ham cut-side down in a roasting pan.
    • Add liquid to the bottom of the pan.
    • Cover loosely with foil.
  3. Heat
    • Bake about 15 minutes per pound until internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  4. Glaze (optional)
    • Simmer glaze ingredients 3–5 minutes.
    • Brush glaze over ham during the last 30 minutes, uncovered.
  5. Rest & serve
    • Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing.

Popular Glaze Variations

  • Pineapple Brown Sugar: Add crushed pineapple
  • Honey Mustard: Extra mustard + honey
  • Maple Bourbon: Add 2 tbsp bourbon
  • Clove-Spiced: Stud ham with whole cloves

Slow Cooker Ham

  • Place ham in slow cooker with ½ cup liquid
  • Cook Low 4–5 hours
  • Glaze in the last 30 minutes
