Meatloaf

Here’s a classic, comforting Meatloaf Recipe—moist, flavorful, and perfect for family dinners. 🍽️


Ingredients

Meatloaf

  • 1 ½ lbs (680 g) ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

Glaze

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Mix Meatloaf Ingredients

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Mix gently with hands until just combined.

3. Shape & Add Glaze

  1. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard, then spread over the top of the meatloaf.

4. Bake

  • Bake 55–65 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

5. Rest & Serve

  • Let meatloaf rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or green beans.

Tips

  • Keep it moist: Do not overmix; gentle handling prevents a dense loaf.
  • Add flavor: Mix in chopped bell peppers, grated carrots, or cheese for extra taste.
  • Make ahead: Assemble meatloaf, cover, and refrigerate overnight; bake the next day.
