Here’s a juicy, tender pork roast recipe that works great for Sunday dinner or easy leftovers 🍖

🍖 Classic Oven-Roasted Pork Roast (Serves 4–6)

Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb pork roast (loin or shoulder)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
  • Optional: 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the pork
    • Pat roast dry.
    • Rub with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs.
  3. Sear (recommended)
    • Heat a skillet over high heat.
    • Sear roast on all sides until golden (2–3 min per side).
  4. Roast
    • Place pork in a roasting pan or baking dish.
    • Roast 20–25 min per pound:
      • Pork loin: ~60–75 min
      • Pork shoulder: ~90–120 min
    • Internal temp:
      • 145°F (63°C) for loin (sliceable)
      • 195–205°F (90–96°C) for shoulder (pull-apart)
  5. Rest
    • Tent with foil and rest 10–15 minutes before slicing.

🔄 Variations

  • Garlic herb: Add fresh rosemary & thyme
  • Sweet glaze: Brush with honey + mustard during last 15 min
  • BBQ-style: Rub with brown sugar + smoked paprika
  • Slow cooker: Cook on LOW 8 hours with onions & broth

💡 Tips

  • Let pork come to room temp 30 min before cooking.
  • Always rest the meat—this keeps it juicy.
  • Use a thermometer for perfect doneness.

If you want, I can give you:

  • Slow cooker pork roast
