Ribeye steak is one of the most flavorful cuts of beef, known for its rich marbling (fat), which makes it juicy and tender.


🔥 Simple Pan-Seared Ribeye Steak

Ingredients:

  • Ribeye steak (1–1.5 inches thick)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1–2 tbsp butter
  • 2–3 garlic cloves
  • Fresh herbs (optional: rosemary or thyme)

👨‍🍳 Method:

  1. Bring to room temp
    Take the steak out of the fridge 20–30 minutes before cooking.
  2. Season well
    Pat dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the pan
    Use a heavy pan (cast iron if possible) and heat until very hot.
  4. Sear the steak
    • Place steak in pan
    • Cook ~3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare)
    • Don’t move it too much—let it develop a crust
  5. Add butter & garlic
    In the last minute, add butter, garlic, and herbs.
    Spoon melted butter over the steak (basting).
  6. Rest the steak
    Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before cutting.
