Here’s a Spicy Cajun Shrimp Alfredo Pasta recipe—creamy, indulgent, and with a nice kick from Cajun spices 🍤🍝

🍤 Spicy Cajun Shrimp Alfredo Pasta (Serves 4)

Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1–2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Pasta & Sauce

  • 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Garnish

  • Chopped parsley or green onions
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook pasta

  • Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  • Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.

2️⃣ Cook shrimp

  1. Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make Alfredo sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic; sauté 1 minute.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired consistency.

4️⃣ Combine

  1. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
  2. Add shrimp back to the skillet; stir to combine.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Plate pasta and garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve immediately with a side of garlic bread if desired.

🔄 Variations

  • Spicier: Increase Cajun seasoning or add hot sauce.
  • Creamier: Add a splash of cream cheese.
  • Vegetables: Toss in bell peppers, spinach, or cherry tomatoes.
  • Low-carb: Serve over zucchini noodles.

💡 Tips

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they cook fast and can become rubbery.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for smoothest sauce.
  • Simmer cream gently—don’t boil aggressively or it may separate.

If you want, I can also give you a one-pan version that cooks pasta in the sauce with the shrimp for even faster cleanup.
